High quality knowledge is one of the most important assets for managers and professionals nowadays. You and your organization can only be successful when decisions are taken based on a wide range of evidence, including the most recent insights from research and science. This approach is called Evidence-based Management (EBM or EBMgt) and has its origin in the healthcare sector which started some time ago with taking decisions by drawing on evidence rather than opinion. However, when you start to gather information to solve a business problem from outside your organization you'll mostly rely on two different sources.
On the one hand there is a huge amount of white papers, opinions, blog posts etc. of various quality available on the internet. While some of them are of high quality and worth to be considered, it is hard to separate the sheep from the goats. On the other hand there are high-quality journal papers that are hard to read and even harder to get as they are mostly behind paywalls.
All our high-quality research CQ Dossiers on evidence-based principles are now available for free download.
Having this in mind we decided to publish all our CQ Dossiers for free. In addition, we have also started to create a premium pdf white paper of every dossier you can download for free. Every CQ Dossier translates years of social science research into distilled, practical advice that is both empirically supported and easy to comprehend. With the premium pdf white paper it is now easier than ever before to bridge the gap between social sciences and business. Besides being able to read the dossiers offline you can also share them in your organization, with friends and co-workers. One of our favourite approach is to use them as part of Learning & Development interventions as pre-reading or discussion basis.
CQ Dossiers can easilybe used for learning and development (L&D) activities.
You are wondering why we publish all this valuable knowledge for free and how we keep the quality on the highest standard? All our CQ Dossiers are crafted by researchers with a strong track record in their scientific field. In addition, we have also some practitioners publishing dossiers. However, they are not the traditional self- made consultants and gurus but have to have a strong academic background in social sciences as well. In addition, we peer-review every CQ Dossier before it is published. In sum, those measures make sure that you can trust the knowledge published on CQ Net.
How are all those activities financed? As you might have seen we offer trainings, seminars and consulting services. Managers and professionals like you who are interested to learn more about a specific evidence-based management topic (e.g. leadership, change management, learning and development) join a training or hire us for a consulting project. At the end of each training you complete with us you will receive a certificate that confirms your successful participation. The biggest portion of the money we charge for the team participation will go the team moderator. The rest of the fee is used to maintain CQ Net's infrastructure, bridge the gap between business and social science with new CQ Dossiers, and organize EBM events.
